The Sketchbook Project

Making the pages.....,As I have said before, absolutely nothing to do with my degree, but I know some people are interested.
Brace yourself as I will be boring you rigid with a future project. A collaboration I am taking part in with Teesha Moore, Susie LaFond and a host of other fabulous artist, but lets finish this one first.

Inked and collage pages
Colour photocopy them all. I do this because it makes the drawing process that much easier, especially in a small book like this one.
Cut and glue in place within the book.

In the book press over night, now ready for drawing and writing on..., joy!

The Sketchbook project

Eeeeeek! Look what just arrived. This isn't really anything to do with the degree, but I thought there maybe someone out there interested in this. I love participating,

Just too excited over a blank book!

There is a bit of a rush on so I made some college out of old art.

Next challenge, Re-purposing!!

OK, I have to get things out of my head first, so not only will there be my finished project, but my journey, my process, ...of elimination?

Base for book cover, old brown envelopes opened up and glued together.
Adding old tissue paper from gift wrappings.
Covering with old dress making patterns.

Heaps of stuff to make pages with.
Stitched together.

A book called RE-#
Stitch template for the spine.

Stitch cradle for the signatures.
